Let me just say this: Lady Gaga and Born This Way Ball Manila has been the best f*cking show to ever reach this country. A combination of Mother Monster’s high impact anthems + showstopping costumes + superb sounds, lights and set design + heartfelt and honest speeches made the show one of the best around.
Not to dwell on the hate and intolerance imposed by religious conservatists in Manila, here’s my opinion on the matter. We are entitled to our own beliefs.
1. The concert does not promote Satanic behaviors because Lady Gaga’s metaphors are just really strong to make the point exaggerated - Gaga if you must. But let us remember that the message of the songs in this album are: acceptance, love for self and others and freedom.
2. It is unfair to call her anti-Christ because of the numerous good deeds she has done: aid for Haiti and Japan, setting up the Born This Way Foundation to help victims of bullying, exposing her emotions and insecurities both on and off camera. Yes, these good acts may not equate to being holy and God-fearing but it does exemplify the two commandments of our Lord: love oneself and love others. As an avid fan, I know that she did not enjoy her stay in Manila because of all these accusations. She is human guys (despite being not a creature of our government LOL)
3. Where do we draw the line? When Katy Perry did her concert here in Manila, she kissed a girl and she caressed Ivan Dorscher’s nipples and tummy. Isn’t that scandalous as well? So is sex okay as long as the image is bubbly and sweet? When shock rock acts do their acts here and abroad preaching life on the fast lane - sex, drugs, music, isnt that bad? In Judas she proclaims acceptance of our evils, In Born This Way acceptance, In Marry the Night the pursuit of dreams, In Scheibe, defeating our evils, In Black Jesus + Amen Fashion, Jesus as the everlasting trend, In Edge of Glory, the moment of triumph. The examples go on.
4. Lady Gaga genuinely loves her fans and asserts the best for them. She admits to her shortcomings and even bad examples, but in essence, she just wants us to be happy. What kind of devil does that?
5. To our politicians and party groups who like the spotlight on them by giving their own stands to gain support, here’s a statement for you - don’t be hypocrites. Who is more anti-Christ that our corrupt politicians?
6. “Kanya-kanya lang yan” If your faith in Christ is indeed strong, no person even Lady Gaga will be able to sway your beliefs or even promote the Satanist perspective. You are the judge of what is right or wrong. You should be secure about what may bring you evil or bring you harm. If you feel evil when you attend her concert, then don’t. Don’t force others to be with you.

This fashion installation of Gaga in a moving stand was for Black Jesus + Amen Fashion and Bloody Mary. Gaga knows her art.
She performed Bad Romance and kept the audience roaring and crazy wild. I wasn’t able to sit! RAH RAH MANILA!
She gave her creature speech “I am not a creature of your government Manila!!!” and to my surprise JUDAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fashion of His Love and Just Dance, the sweet part of the show as I felt Gaga’s heart for us monsters here. The origami dress was divine. :)

Bad Kids. I’m a bad kid! Degenerate young rebel and i’m proud of it! I shouted like crazy.
Hair was so emphatic and emotion driven. And she was sincere in all her words for Manila. I felt for her, especially when Gaga cried. You and I was a proud Manila moment “Manila, Manila I love youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!”
Electric Chapel was the castle in color. Totally a feast for the eyes an for me, a little rest - nakakapagod na!. :)
Americano. That meat dress is amazeballs no matter what you say! LOL Plus the steps were so intense. hahaha!
Poker Face. The song that changed me and Gaga’s life. Again sorry for the fail picture, video cam problems. For the second picture, love the burger reference!
Alejandro. I remember Gaga saying here”If you don’t feel gay Manila, i don’t know what will!” Major LOL. Everything was hawt and the meat couch was a nice touch!
Paparazzi. A tribute to Princess Diana. Still amazes me. This performance at the VMAs in 2009 made me a hardcore fan.
Scheibe. Operation KILL THE BITCH. GADDDDD. This deserves a video before we move on to the next era please! The choreo was the best, aside from Marry the Night and the concept intense!
When she said this was the last song, we all chanted like crazy GAGA GAGA!!!! Then she came with the two best songs EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Edge of Glory. The most powerful anthem for me - applies to my life. Executed to perfection. Mark Kanemura was also amazing. Plus the original Versace outfit in the video! I don’t have a picture O.O
Marry the Night. BEST SONG OFF BORN THIS WAY. Ah, if the moment can only stay forever! Versace galore and Gaga’s autobiography. PERFECTION.
THEN SILENCE. Bitin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How I wish I have infinite resources, kahit meet and greet gagawin ko na on the 2nd day; willing na ako mag bouncer. BUT it was an experience of a lifetime. Gaga, next time let’s do our own monster pic. You and I!
All of this, plus I got to shout: GAGA, I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Gaga replied that “I love you too.” plus catch a flying kiss = bliss. Gaga return soon please. No matter what protests come, I am by your side.
